What is Firmware?

Firmware is a software or code integrated into the hardware or electronic components to provide low-level functioning and control. It manages the device’s fundamental characteristics and operations and lives on non-volatile memory chips inside the apparatus. Devices like routers, smartphones, printers, and IoT devices all have firmware. It frequently needs regular upgrades to patch vulnerabilities, add new features, or boost performance.
