What is a Red Team?

Red team refers to an internal group of cybersecurity professionals that simulate attacks on an organization’s cybersecurity defenses and help identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential attack vectors that malicious actors could exploit. Insights from such simulations can detect gaps in defenses, improve incident response capabilities, and evaluate an organization’s overall preparedness against a potential attack.
