Data Subject Rights

CCPA, GDPR, and other privacy regulations mandate that business organizations must produce — on request—all personal data collected on individual customers. As a result, privacy reporting has become an expensive, fast-growing cost center for regulated organizations.

DSR Robotic Automation is a comprehensive solution to these challenges. It enables you to quickly deploy a consumer-facing portal for receiving DSR requests and automates the end-to-end fulfillment process leveraging a secure collaboration workspace.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Data Subject Request is when a person asks a company to access, fix, delete, or limit the use of their personal information. This is an important right given to individuals under privacy laws like GDPR, CCPA, and other similar regulations around the world.

Privacy laws like GDPR in the EU, CCPA/CPRA in California, LGPD in Brazil, and PDPA in Singapore all set clear rules for how companies must handle Data Subject Requests. They also require responses within certain timelines and expect companies to keep clear records that prove they followed the process.

DSRs give people more control over their personal information and help make sure companies stay responsible in how they handle data. When organizations manage these requests properly, it improves transparency, builds trust, and shows they take compliance seriously.

Common types of DSRs include requests to access data, correct it, delete it (also known as the right to be forgotten), limit how it’s used, move it to another service, or object to certain processing. Each type needs its own workflow and verification steps to make sure the request is handled correctly.

Under GDPR, companies usually have one month to complete a request and they can take a little longer if the case is more complicated. Most modern privacy laws follow similar timelines.
