What are Digital Signatures?

Digital signatures is a cryptography method used to verify the authenticity of digital documents or electronic communications. The method confirms that a digital message or document was sent from a reliable source and was not tampered with during transmission. They generate a distinct digital fingerprint of the document using public-key cryptography, which the recipient may validate using the sender’s public key.
