DR (Disaster Recovery) is the process of restoring an organization’s IT systems, data, and operations after a disaster or disruptive event. It involves planning, implementing, and testing methods and procedures to recover critical business operations and reduce downtime during a system failure, natural disaster, or other catastrophic incidents. Recovery involves backup and replication of data, infrastructure redundancy, and the establishment of recovery objectives and recovery timeframes.
