Man-in-the-middle attack

Man-in-the-middle attack is a type of cyberattack in which the attacker covertly intercepts and modifies the communications between two parties. An attacker who uses a man-in-the-middle attack can alter data, eavesdrop on confidential information, or pretend to be one of the legitimate parties, which could result in data breaches or unauthorized actions.
