Scanning refers to the practice of analyzing all computer networks, systems, or applications to identify potential vulnerabilities, security weaknesses, or configuration issues via automated or manual means. Scanning allows for proactive detection, identification, assessment, and remediation of all potential security risks. Most common scanning techniques involve conducting network, vulnerability, or code scans.
