Regulations around cross-border transfers are rapidly evolving, forcing companies to continuously evaluate how to manage access to data across various geographies. The rulings of "Schrems I/II" led to invalidating EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, and other countries have introduced similar cross-border requirements.

Global companies are faced with the challenge of achieving business continuity while aligning with the appropriate regulations for the various jurisdictions where they operate. Customers, like ADP and Hertz, are harnessing the power of data within AWS and other multi-cloud environments while still addressing regulatory challenges. Their approach requires adopting a framework that streamlines and simplifies compliance with data obligations while maximizing the ability to broadly share data and generate business value. This framework requires granular insights into personal data stored across hybrid and multicloud environments, knowledge of the geographic location of this data and the people accessing it, and a deep understanding of the various laws and regulations that apply. Automation of this framework can help organizations achieve business continuity and accelerate innovation.

Learn how ADP and Hertz are trailblazing the way to address these issues while still maximizing business value.

The panel discussed the following:

  • The latest developments and insights on cross-border restrictions, including in the U.S.,
  • the EU and U.K. General Data Protection Regulation, and the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Identifying and highlighting cross-border data transfer risks within your organization.
  • How to operationalize data transfers to ensure alignment with various regulations.
  • Leveraging a modern framework with data intelligence, regulatory insights and
  • intelligent access controls to automate safe data sharing.
