Article 8: Compliance with the Requirements | EU AI Act

Published July 18, 2024 / Updated August 8, 2024

Article 8 of the AI Act outlines certain requirements related to the compliance obligations established by the Act.

Per this Article, all high-risk AI systems must comply with the relevant provisions of the Act while also considering the purpose for which they were developed and deployed.

Providers must ensure that all applicable requirements are met in instances where the AI system will be subject to the provisions of the AI Act and the requirements of the harmonization legislation provided in Section A of Annex I.

Furthermore, to avoid duplications and possible additional burdens and ensure consistency, providers will have a choice regarding the integration of the testing and reporting processes, information, and documentation to be provided per the requirements of the harmonization legislation listed in Section A of Annex I.
