What is Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)?

HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) refers to web browsers and web servers communicate using HTTP. It establishes the guidelines and requirements for requesting and transmitting hypertext documents, which form the basis of web pages. Text, photos, videos, and other web information can be retrieved and displayed via HTTP, which utilizes the TCPIP (Transmission Control ProtocolInternet Protocol) protocol. However, HTTP lacks built-in security features, leaving it open to various attacks.
