What is Pseudonymization?

Pseudonymization is a process used to encrypt or replace any collected personal data with pseudonyms. Pseudonymization is critical when it comes to protecting the privacy of individuals by making it harder to identify a particular user from the processed data set. The linkage between the original data and the pseudonyms is kept separate, with a unique key required to re-identify individuals.
