What is Near Field Communication (NFC)?

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless technology that works at short distances and enables contactless data transfer between devices. Common uses of NFC include mobile payments, access control, and data transfer between smartphones and other NFC-capable devices. It requires both devices to be close to one another to create a connection and operates at a close range, usually within a few centimeters.
