What is Structured Query Language (SQL)?

Structured Query Language (SQL) refers to a domain-specific programming language used for managing and manipulating relational databases. SQL enables users to interact with databases by defining and executing queries for tasks such as retrieving data, updating records, inserting new data, and deleting data. It provides a standardized way to communicate with and manage data in relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
